Change of guards at NOIR
At the end of a very productive session at this year's World Library and Information Congress, the SIG accepted the resignation of Hella Klauser (Head of Library and Information at the Goethe-Institute) from the post of Convenor, expressing sincere gratitude for her passionate support of NOIR's aims and objectives. Hella will continue to work with NOIR as a SIG member.
As her successor, the group confirmed Guido Jansen, Secretary of Germany's National IFLA Committee. He will be supported by a team of co-chairs, not least to ensure wider geographical representation in NOIR's further development. The co-chairs are:
- Katharina Beberweil (Manager of the Library and Information Centre of IBFD, The Netherlands),
- Moema Salgado (Director of the Centre for Cooperation and Diffusion, National Library of Brazil) and
- Winston Roberts (Senior Advisor, National Library of New Zealand).
