Description

IFLA/FAIFE Satellite Meeting in Geneva, Switzerland

Theme: Ethical Dilemmas in the Information Society: How Codes of Ethics Help to Find Ethical Solutions

FAIFE satellite meeting for 2014 will take place on August 14 and 15, 2014 at the Château de Bossey, a beautiful castle near Geneva, Switzerland, surrounded by peaceful gardens overlooking the Leman Lake.

For complete details, visit the Satellite Meeting Website.

Although IFLA Code of Ethics has been launched and accepted as an official policy of IFLA, FAIFE considers the work should continue, because a code of ethics must be a living document and because ways have to be found to implement ethics and ethical reflection more deeply in the day-to-day work. This is the very intention behind the planned Conference: use the Code as an incentive to bring ethical issues more prominently in the professional and public debate.
