LTR Information Sharing Service
The Library History SIG is sponsored by the IFLA Library Theory & Research Section so it was of interest to me as Convenor of the SIG when I was informed of the following news:
We want to share the information about the service that the IFLA Library Theory and Research (LTR) Section is providing to the international community of researchers or librarians-researchers. We are monitoring conference announcements and call for papers on the topics of library history / book history / library and information science (LIS) and sharing the information through Diigo and LTR blogs. This information is gathered and disseminated by the students of at the École Nationale Supérieure des Sciences de l’Information et des Bibliothèques (ENSSIB) in Lyon France, and students from the Library and Information Science program at the Denver University, USA.
The focus of our information monitoring is on call for papers, call for publications, announcements about conferences, new resources, grant and awards in the field of o library history / book history / library and information science. We encourage you to take advantage of this service.
You can find our information monitoring at the following address:
- Account of the LTR group
- Each new addition in the Diigo is automatically sent on the twitter account
- An extraction will be made each month on the blog section
- Everyone can subscribe to the RSS Diigo by topic: LIS
- Book History
- History of Libraries
You may also share the information with the IFLA LTR Section about such events or calls, and they will add them to their list(s).
